Choral Conducting Masterclass

Where: Lakehead University, Recital Hall (MV 1004)

Free participation. Registration options include conducting (limited spaces) and observation. Please contact to register and receive music. You will be working with an adult choir.

Robert Filion has spent the past 20 years bringing choirs to the pinnacle of choral excellence. Recognized across Canada, his choirs earn top awards at local, provincial and national levels. A talented conductor, educator and a versatile clinician, Mr. Filion was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2013.

About ChoirsOntario on the Road Program

Choirs Ontario offers choral workshops for conductors and singers in locations across Ontario throughout the year. We seek to partner with hosts who wish to invite choirs in their region to attend a Choirs Ontario On the Road workshop.

WHEN?      A mutually agreed upon date.

WHERE?    Wherever you are!

WHO?        Singers and conductors in your region. (It usually works best with at least two choirs involved.)

WHAT?      Developing Vocal Technique | Understanding the Singer-Conductor Connection | Building Musicality & Musicianship | Other topics as requested

COST       Minimal cost for Choirs Ontario member organizations. Choirs Ontario absorbs the workshop fees & travel costs.
